FIRM mobilizes churches to minister to Southeast Asian and other refugees in Fresno through a variety of programs: Welfare-to-Work, elder citizen education and basic English skills, employment development, teen youth ministries, tobacco control and health ministries, revival ministries, after-school programs, Vacation Bible School, leadership development, community gardens, hands-on cross-cultural mission education opportunities, and theological education for pastors at college and lay levels.
FIRM is struggling financially since the economy took a downturn, many grants have been rescinded or cut. The people who need the most are being hit the hardest.
