The SFTS "Adopt a Seminarian" program enables congregations and church-related organizations to "adopt" a seminarian. Here's a great way for your church or church group to meet one of the students at SFTS preparing to serve the church in Christ's name. Your gift of any amount will strengthen the Seminary's Student Support Fund, which provides resources for student financial aid, subsidized student housing, classrooms and faculty salaries. Sponsor a seminarian today, receive a student profile, and deepen your relationship with SFTS.
Founded in 1871, SFTS is the only Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.) seminary in the West and is a founding member of the Graduate Theological Union, the largest and most diverse partnership of seminaries in the country. The historic San Anselmo campus in Northern California offers community living in a spectacular setting minutes from San Francisco and Berkeley, home of the GTU. The Pasadena campus in Southern California offers commuters the opportunity to complete the Master of Divinity program through evening and Saturday classes.
SFTS graduates serve as pastors and educators of Presbyterian and other Reformed congregations; community leaders and directors of nonprofit organizations; international missionaries; and church administrators. With your gifts, SFTS will prepare Christian leaders for service around the world.
